Vaco is hiring for a Bilingual Staff Accountant located in Deerfield Beach, FL.

Vaco is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for tax compliance, and preparation of a company's financial reports and statements for audit, revenue and fixed assets reconciliation and for supporting full cycle month-end closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for tax compliance, and preparation of a company's financial reports and statements for audit, revenue and fixed assets reconciliation and for supporting full cycle month-end closing
  • Responsible for ensuring tax compliance with tax agencies by preparing in coordination with company tax accountants the timely preparation, review and timely filing and payments of federal and state tax returns, sales tax returns, property and tangible returns and other company tax filings
  • Reconciles all transactions pertaining to revenue and cost recognition, including but not limited to performing sales and cost margin reconciliation, customer rebates, royalties, customers' freight-out, miscellaneous invoices and commissions reports
  • Administers of fixed asset module including the recording of changes in fixed assets, reconciling to general ledger, and coordinating physical inventory, and providing reports as needed
  • Records and reconciles and monitors foreign currency evaluation, long/short term debt/leases classification, freight claims
  • Supports monthly financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance and schedules of chart of accounts
  • Conducts mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct incorrectly recorded transactions
  • Documents and updates accounting and policy manuals
  • Publishes accounting calendar and coordinates monthly closing and annual audit activities
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and training
  • Advanced level in Excel and MS Office
  • SAP or integrated System experience
  • Fluent in Spanish & English both written and verbal

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
