FULL TIME SERVICER FOR SOUTHEAST AREA TRANSIT DISTRICT
The District is the region's public transportation provider with a strong public service ethic. We are looking for an energetic, conscientious and detail-oriented individual who enjoys making a difference, a quick learner who can take the initiative, is safety-driven, and enjoys being part of a small team that takes pride in their service to the community. JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: * Cleans, fuels and services all SEAT vehicles * Records fluid levels and mileages; Reviews and files inspection reports. * Vaults fareboxes * Parks buses and drives buses to routes. * Reports and records vehicle and facility defects * Performs minor mechanical repairs on fleet and facilities. * Maintains grounds, including grass cutting and snow plowing. * Occasionally performs janitorial work. * Completes daily reports and other paperwork as required.?????? Must be available to work nights, and weekends including Sundays. REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: * HS Diploma or GED. * At least 21 years old, valid CDL with air brakes (Class A or B). * No more than one (1) moving violation in the last three years. * Ability to work nights and weekends and maximum hours per day to not exceed CT Hours of Service. * Must not have outside employment that interferes with employment at SEAT. * Ability to pass DOT physical exam and pending CDL tests, pre-employment testing meeting physical requirements of the position. * Ability to travel for training. * Must be able to effectively read, write and comprehend Basic English * Subject to drug and alcohol testing under Federal Transit Administration regulations.
