Position:

The Supply Chain Customer Service Representative reports directly to the Manager, Supply Chain Business Operations and performs various customer service functions such as data entry, customer relations, billing inquires and general office duties. This position will research and provide resolution to customer service-related issues. The Supply Chain Customer Service Coordinator works as team member and positively accepts change throughout the Health System while establishing relationships.

Education:




  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a G.E.D. Certificate.



Work Experience:




  • Prefer at least one year work experience in a professional related field



Knowledge:





  • Work requires knowledge of general policies and procedures,



  • Proficiency in performing entry level professional work



  • Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain terminology

    Skills:





  • Must possess strong communication skills and the ability to interface with customers in a stressful environment without compromising the tenets of good customer relations practice.



  • Work requires analytical ability necessary to resolve customer problems.



  • Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.



  • Work requires the ability to understand, interpret, evaluate and resolve complex Customer Service issues with minimal supervision.



  • Work requires organizational skills in order to manage multiple tasks.



  • Requires ability to use initiative and judgment to identify, analyze and solve complex problems





Problem Solving:




  • Uses knowledge of distribution and logistics practices to evaluate and resolve problems related to inventory and supply availability.
  • Engages with departmental stakeholders to review and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Reviews and analyzes supply availability within core inventory and identifies and resolves gaps in inventory availability



Information Management:




  • Knowledge of materials management information systems to meet the needs of customers and employees of the department.
  • Generation and interpretation of daily pick tickets.
  • Use of handhelds with appropriate interpretation of items and units of measures.
  • Use of ERP to accurately record parcel receipts into system.



Working Conditions:




  • Works in a general warehouse environment, but may experience occasional discomfort due to cold, heat, noise, and poor ventilation.
  • May have to lift heavy boxes or operate material handling equipment.
  • Work requires standing, walking, lifting up to 70 lbs. or pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs. for the entirety of shift.
  • Work may require the use of protective gear such as safety glasses, shoes, isolation gowns, masks, gloves, etc.
