The City of Champaign seeks qualified candidates for a career opportunity as a Police Account Clerk in the Police Department. Our Police Account Clerks are proficient in the areas of accounts payable/receivable, financial account monitoring, cash handling/reconciliation, invoicing, payroll preparation, and travel arrangements. If this describes you and you are ready to take a challenge, apply today! Responsibilities of Position Police Account Clerks are data processing and data analyzing experts. They provide valuable support to our police officers and civilian staff, so their work needs to be accurate, thorough, and on-time. Since some of their tasks are time-sensitive, Police Account Clerks need to possess excellent time management skills and be available for occasional daytime weekend work. Most work is completed using financial software programs to enter data, create reports, and resolve issues. Police Account Clerks are proficient in using spreadsheets to format, edit, and manipulate data. Drug screening, criminal background check, and background investigation will be required. The anticipated starting salary as of July 1, 2024 is $26.22 per hour, plus an excellent fringe benefits package. Applications must be submitted online no later than Monday, May 27, 2024.
